As a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, my first career was as an apparel designer. I found myself becoming more interested in graphic design, so earned another degree in that major. After gaining valuable experience with a large lithography firm, I started my own design service...still in the days of "cut and paste". In the early 1980's, I became an early adapter of the computer as a powerful new tool with which to do my work.
In 1984, my husband and I became an authorized AutoCAD dealer as we recognized the power of the computer for design and drafting applications. We were swept along in the wave of this exciting new technology as it gained mainstream acceptance. Our company grew to become an authorized Autodesk training center and a design visualization service provider to many top firms in the New York/New Jersey/Pennsylvania area. We were a consistent award winning dealer in recognition of the high level of service and support we offered to our clients.
The steady growth of our company required our total involvement in day-to-day management leaving little time for art and design. We had attracted a number of suitors wishing to buy our business so sold it in 1998 and happily regained the time for the things we most love to do.
